The Serengeti re-imagined through the filter of memory.


I took these photos while on a photography tour of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. While editing my digital files, I dramatized them to capture sensations other than visual:  the enveloping dust and heat, scent of drying grasses, coolness of nightfall, the constant motion of following wildlife during the great migration, and the voices of the nature guides expounding on symbiotic relationships. I took some artistic license with that. Here are just two examples of over a thousand files.
